1st School-Based Celebration of 41st National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week
Over the years, the government had exerted efforts in uplifting the economic and social welfare of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in our country. On August 19, 2000, Proclamation No. 361 was issued declaring every third week of July as the “National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week to raise awareness on the problems on disability and encourage every citizen to take active responsibility in addressing these issues.
In helping to achieve the goal of this program, Sto. Niño ES, headed by Ma’am Ryzza Lyn S. Flores and Ma’am Jeanette D. Campos, conducted the very 1st school-based celebration of 41st National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week on July 19, 2019 with a theme “Lokal na Pamahalaan: Kabalikat sa Pagtupad ng Karapatan ng mga Taong may Kapansanan”.Some activities prepared for the said celebration includes Hanging of Advocacy Streamers, short lecture on the different Dissabilities-Education in Teachers, arts and crafts, another short lecture on the benefits, rights, and previleges of PWDs and lastly larong pinoy. Closing the weeklong program will be on July 23, 2019 at the SNES covered court.
