No one questions the severity of the drug problem and its devastating impact on youth. Academic results suffer and, even worse, drugs undermine health and destroy young lives. The best solution is to reach young people with effective, fact-based drug education before they start experimenting with drugs.
Sto. Niño Elementary School conducted an Orientation on Drug Awareness and Prevention on August 15, 2019. The orientation was headed by our dearest school Principal, Dr. Marlon S. Marquez. The participants of this event were Grade 5 and 6 pupils and teachers.
The speaker, PSSG Francisco Gammad, shared his ideas about illegal drugs and made the pupils aware of it. Also, he discuss the things and ways on how to prevent drug addiction. Some of the San Mateo police officers and our honorable Brgy. Kagawad Nimfa Operio also participated in the said event. These officers are as follows, PCpl Shiela Marie P. Calao-it, PAT Kevin B. Rivero, PAT Albert Reyes, PAT Alex V. Suayan, PAT Mandy Mark M. Rogacion, PAT Kierneil M. Tenorio, PAT John Carlo E. Ravanera, PAT Raven Renz A. Punzalan and PAT Joseph Martisya.
