Pursuant to Division Memorandum No. 262 s.2020 entitled “Implementation of Blue Rizal: Barangayan Para sa Bawat Bata Bumabasa(BR-B4) program” and in response to the Department of Education’s “Sulong Edukalidad” and its aim to address the challenge of quality in basic education, the school will conduct a three (3) day Roll-out and online capacity training for Blue Rizal: Barangayan Para sa Bawat Bumabasa (BRB4) this July 29- 31, 2020 via Google Meet from 1:00 pm– 5:00 pm.
The activity aims to introduce modalities of teaching beginning reading and remedial reading depending on the grade level and literacy of a child, engage parents, LGU and other stakeholders to participate and sustain the communities’ implementation of BR- B4 Program in Rizal Province. Promotes family literacy across Rizal by enhancing parents and guardians’ involvement.
School Roll – out training for Blue Rizal: Barangayan Para sa Batang bumabasa was participated by Sto. Nino Elemntary School’s teaching force, volunteer parents and other members of the community under the supervision and guidance of the vibrant and benevolent school head, Dr. Karen V. Delica.
The program started by an opening prayer led by Corazon B. Lapore, a grade 2 teacher followed by an audio-visual presentation of National Anthem. Cherry Mae T. Tabion, grade 5 teacher feed the participants with a very inspiring message followed by the recognition of participants done by Liezel Reyes, a kinder teacher. To give the background of BR-B4, Sonia B. Ballon, grade one teacher, performed the task followed by the presentation of norms done by Febie Y. Jocson, a master teacher of the above-mentioned school.
Diana Delos Santos, one of Grade one teachers and one of the facilitators discussed the topic regarding “The Nature of Blue-Rizal: Barangayan para sa Bawat Batang Bumabasa.” The second session began with curiosity as Ms. Jeanette D. Campos stimulate the participants with an activity. Her discussion was entitled, “Lakbay ng Kaalaman sa Modyul Walk Through in Magazine and Print Awareness.”
On the second day of the activity, the session inspired the community and parent volunteers, as Mary Jane Gallardo tackled the topic on “Pagpapayaman ng Kasanayan ng mga Boluntir” followed by a discussion done by Zenaida I. Aquino entitled, “Word Families Sight Words”.
On the third day of the school roll-out activity, the participants were full of enthusiasm in looking forward to learning something new. The first speaker on this session is Mark Angelo Teppang, a grade 4 teacher, as he discussed the topic on “Fluency, Vocabulary and spelling Overcoming Reading Difficulties” followed by Mrs. Febie Y. Jocson, one of the pillars of SNES, as she talked about “Management of Children, Teachers and Volunteers Under BRB4 Program”. This three-day School Roll-out ended with a closing program with the sharing of impressions by teachers, parents represented by the GPTA president, Mrs. Maria Theresa Sotie S. Pang, and other community volunteers. All the participants accepted the challenges that they may faced during the implementation of the BR-B4 project. Indeed, this school activity is a success.
